KURUKSHETRA,(Rana). Olympian Bronze Medalist Sarabjot Singh visited Gurukul Kurukshetra alongwith his Mentor Abhishek Rana. Sarabjot Singh who made India proud was welcomed by Patron of Gurukul Kurukshetra, Acharya Sh. Devvrat Ji, staff and students at Gurukul Kurukshetra. The sky resounded with the slogans “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Matram” as soon as he reached Gurukul. His arrival assumes significance because his coach Abhishek Rana was trained as shooter at Gurukul Kurukshetra.
Sarabjot Singh shared his moments of Olympic journey with the students of Gurukul Kurukshetra. He told the students that his journey took him from a ‘hobby shooter’ to winning bronze medal in Paris Olympic 2024. He further told that his passion for shooting was sparked during childhood. Sharing his experiences with the students he told them that it was his perseverance, consistency and resilience that paid him off culminating in a bronze medal at Paris Olympic. He also added that he aims to win a gold medal for the country in next Olympic games.
He expressed satisfaction over the facilities being provided to the shooting aspirants at Gurukul Kurukshetra. “The future of aspiring shooter at Gurukul Kurukshetra is very bright under the patronage of Acharya Devvrat ji and coach Mr. Balbir ji”, he said. On this occasion, Acharya Devvrat ji stated that Gurukul Kurukshetra provides all modern facilities and renowned coaches to the students to excel in sports.
